| The
Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts, like most religious congregations
today, are working more diligently than ever to find and foster vocations
to the priesthood and religious life. For a relatively small
congregation, the search is more difficult but we feel truly blessed
to have the vocations we have at present. It is the exceptional
young man who can turn away from the messages of consumerism and ego-centered
achievement that are so widespread in the world of today. Religious
life requires truly humble giving of self, possessions and personal
agendas to be a true commitment.
