resided in campus housing at a college or seminary and were not in daily contact with the community or their formation director. Completion is scheduled for January 2003 and until that time, the students are residing in the St. Mary’s rectory and local religious houses.
At the present funding and contracted construction plans allow for a one story building featuring six bedrooms, kitchen and dining facilities and a gathering room for study and sharing. The groundwork however, and complete planning will allow for future expansion to 17 rooms and include a small Chapel.

lived in the hearts of the congregation members since first coming to the United States to work over 50 years ago. The hard work of members of the congregation, both living and deceased and many friends and benefactors who have helped make this undertaking possible was recalled with deep gratitude.

Fr. Robert T. McDade, M.SS.CC. Appointed as new Spiritual Director of Development Office

The development office of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts and its mail apostolate welcome Fr. Robert McDade as its new spiritual director. Father is assuming the duties previously held since the office began in 1982 by Fr. Anthony Patrizio. Fr. Patrizio is taking a well deserved but sabbatical until early January when he will pursue other apostolates for the congregation.

Fr. McDade was ordained in 1976. Fr. Bob has served in many of the apostolates of the congregation…as Novice Master, Formation Director and currently is the Vocation Direction. He is also

Vice Rector of Villa Pieta, the spiritual center for the congregation in America.

Fr. McDade was pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows parish in Linwood for seven years. For the past three years and at present he is working with troubled and runaway youth. He brings with him a special concern for the problems of those who are living alone or in troubled family situations. Deeply devoted to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, his compassion and eagerness to reach out with the message of their love will bring added spirituality to the outreach program of the development office.
