As I prepared to assume the duties of Spiritual Director of our Development Office, I reviewed with the staff some of the wonderful notes and letters we received in the past from you, our dear friends and benefactors.  In doing so, I realized what a special ministry our mail apostolate had become.  People from all fifty states and several from as far away as Malaysia and Singapore, wrote very personally telling of a difficult situation they were facing or asking our prayers for someone in immediate need of the healing touch of God.  Notes telling of their thanksgiving for answered prayers allowed us to share in their joy.  Some had been corresponding with us for twenty years or more.  I was truly humbled by their loyalty and deep love for the Sacred Hearts.  I hope that I will be able to be of comfort and encouragement as I begin this wonderful outreach.  I pray too that you will always feel free to write to me or call.  I would be honored and happy to hear from you.  Be assured of my prayers for you and your intentions and may the Sacred Hearts be my guide as I begin this new assignment.
