six residents and the complete plans indicate the building can be expanded with two additional wings.  A reception room at the entrance has been transformed into a small Chapel. It is hoped that a permanent Chapel can be added to the residence in the future along with separate rooms for the formation director.  Students in residence attend nearby Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD.

All join in prayer for God’s grace on the students who will reside in the new formation house.

Parishioners from St. Mary’s, St. Rita’s, friends and fellow seminarians of our students join the community for a reception following the House of Studies dedication in the St. Mary’s Hall.


Bro. Peter DiTomasso professes First Vows

   After completing a year of Novitiate and a year of postulancy with our congregation, Bro. Peter DiTomasso made his first profession of vows on Sunday, January 5 2003 at St. Mary's Church in Fairfield, Pennsylvania.  Fr. Malcolm MacLeod, Delegate to the Superior General of the congregation was the principal celebrant of the Mass and profession.  Bro. Peter, a native of New York, left a career in financial planning to enter religious life.  He is currently receiving his academic formation at Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
