It was very thought provoking to see the unusual Spring snow falling steadily outside the new House of Studies as we gathered to join in celebration at the realization of this wonderful project for our congregation.  An obstacle to be overcome in the planning of the day….but nonetheless the day went forward with much thanksgiving and happiness.

It brought a reminder of all the obstacles our Founder faced as he pursued his vision for our congregation…winning out at  last under the guidance and protection of Our Lady of Sorrows.  The lesson is clear that the path in following God's will is never guaranteed to be an easy one.  Indeed when we have overcome obstacles and difficulties along the way, the final reward is so much more valued and our reliance on God's strength and grace is strengthened.  Please join us in praying for our current vocations and that this new formation facility will soon welcome many more men willing to commit themselves to serving God and his Church as a Missionary of the Sacred Hearts.
