Along with the news of the establishment of a new community in the Philippines, we here in America also follow our recent congregation efforts in Nigeria where we have 20 students studying at the Claretian Seminary.  Shortly one of our priests from India, Fr. Prasad Antony Mattathinkarayil will be leaving to join the students, hopefully to form a Nigerian community.  I know you join us in praying that these new endeavors bring forth vocations for our congregation.  I also work for vocations here in the United States and within the past year we have been so blessed to see more interest and potential candidates.  These are very difficult times for all religious congregations in the-search for viable vocations.  The world and its values challenge us constantly.  In this Newsletter our Prayer for Vocations has been included ....  I hope you will join us in prayer not just for new vocations but for our current seminarians around the world.  May the Hearts of Jesus and Mary guide, protect and strengthen their commitment to prepare to serve God and His family on earth.

May the peace and love of Christ fill your hearts,
 Father Bob McDade, M.SS.CC.
