Her Last Gift.....
We
were blessed to receive a bequest that was accompanied by the following
note:
"My Aunt died and I am trying to settle her estate as she would
have wanted although she left no will. She often shared your
newsletters with me and some of the inspirational letters and prayers
that you sent to her. I know she was so happy to be able to
help support your good work. So please accept this offering,
her last gift, in her name
and pray for her."
Preparing a will ensure that your estate will
be distributed remembering those loved ones and charitable causes
that had special meaning for you during your lifetime. The
Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts rely on these contributions from
kind friends to provide for the on-going needs of our apostolates
and the education of future priests for the future.
To include us in your Will, please make the bequest to:

In the Founder's
Footsteps….
In preparation for the profession
of first vows, each candidate spends one year as a Novice, living
in community and immersing himself in the mission of the congregation
of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts. Studying the life
and instructions of our Founder, Blessed Gaetano Errico, each internalizes
his role as servant and minister to others, especially those most
in need.

Malagesi sharing a moment in the child care center.
To experience this tangibly, each is assigned to an apostolate;
working and serving those in need, the poor, the aged, chronically
infirm, the young, or the abandoned. This year our two novices,
Bro. Robert Malagesi and Bro. Frank Myers have been working on a
weekly basis, 3 to 4 hours assignments, at two local facilities.
Bro. Robert helps at a Counseling Center run by Catholic Charities
in Emmitsburg, PA. There he assists the staff care for the
children while their parents obtain the services of the center.
Bro. Frank aids the staff at St. Catherine's Nursing Home.
He spends time with the patients, talking and listening, sharing
their day and aids with feeding and moving patients to activities.
