During the
recent dedication of the new Bl. Gaetano Errico Chapel, Vicar
General of the congregation, Fr. Angelo Terracciano took a few
moments following the ceremony to update those in attendance on
the canonization cause of the Founder.
He related that a
second miracle has been documented and presented for
consideration to the Vatican commission.
The miracle took place in Secondigliano, home of our
motherhouse. A couple
married for 10 years had been told there was no chance the wife
would ever conceive a child.
The husband visited the tomb of the Founder in the Church
of Our Lady of Sorrows to beseech his intercession.
A healthy child was
conceived miraculously and born healthy.

The congregation was
actually contacted by the doctor who attended the woman.
Fr. Terracciano was in attendance when he was interviewed
and related that the doctor, a non-believer himself, had to
admit that it was indeed a miracle.
The initial opening of the case took place on December 10,
2005 and has now been submitted to the commission to be approved
by the various authoritative panels for examination.
This process could take up to two years to be completed if it
meets with acceptance.
Fr. Terraciano asked for the prayers of all that God may grant
that Blessed Gaetano may soon be a saint.
